Rest Day

Congratulations to Ashley, Amanda, Allison, Jenni, and Penny on finishing 9th overall out of 323 total teams at the Chattanooga Mud Run (men and women).

CrossFit Murphy will begin a new “Get Your Mind Right Challenge” Tuesday, August 14th.  The kids are back in school, everything is back to a consistent schedule, no more vacations, so don’t make excuses.  The goal for this challenge is to dial things back in nutritionally.  Nutrition is the key, bottom line.  This will be a two person team challenge so find a buddy!  Details posted soon.

Teams of 2 each complete the following for time:

30-20-10 reps of:

Russian KB Swings
Push Ups (deload)
Box Jumps (24/20)

Each partner will complete there set while the other partner rest.

Strength: Close Grip Bench Press 10 x 5 (rest 60 seconds between sets)

School is back in session now for most kids and teachers.  The summer always goes by so fast.  Now is the time of the year when you anticipate the crispness in the air and Fall.  That is what is so great about the seasons.  We are usually ready for a change.  Are we ever satisfied with our life is or is like the change in weather.  We get to one point and start wishing something else was different?  Before we know it our life will pass and we will never be satisfied.  That is why we live everyday one day at a time and fill our hearts with the Lord and we will always be satisfied.

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
