Do you have a list when you go to the grocery store?  Or, do you just go and have in mind what you need?  Do you stick to your budget or go over and beyond?  When you built your house or know of someone who built a house, did they use a blue print?  Or, did they just figure they would know what to do?  Why is it that so often we jump two feet first without a plan?  We often bypass asking God for help and we make mistakes.  Try to look before you jump.  Rushed decisions usually are not the best. 

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.  Psalm 32:8

Do you believe God hears you?  Do you truly believe in His word?  Many people allow their brokenness to allow them to be bitter instead of seeing God’s hand in their life and the ultimate plan He has for those who believe.  God pours out his grace and mercy on us when we ask for it.  Clear your mind of thinking the way the world tells you to think and envelope yourself in the Word of God.  Then you will truly see what great things God has in store for you.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Why are Mondays so hard sometimes?  The weekend seems almost non existent.  If you are not careful you can make your weekend more busy than your week and miss out what rest is all about.  Taking time to be with your family and take a break from your hectic schedule.  It seems as if all families are pulled into a million different directions.  Make an appoint to be with your family and savor your time together.

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

This poem was read by Luci Swindoll at a conference in Atlanta.  I am not sure who wrote it but I think you will want to print it and share it with others.  It is something that we all can identify with and struggle with. This poem is about how we all struggle with being content with what God has given us.  We always want something different.  If we are not careful we will miss out on realizing the gift of life that lays out before us, our life, our blessings.  Not always wanting something else. 

It was spring, but it was summer I wanted,
Those warm days of the great outdoors.
Then it was summer and it was fall I wanted
The colorful leaves and the cool dry air.
It was fall and it was winter I wanted.
The beautiful snow and the holiday season.
And then it was winter and it was spring I wanted.
The warmth and blossoming of nature.
I was a child but it was adulthood I wanted, the freedom and the respect.
I was 20 but it was 30 I wanted. To be mature and sophisticated.
And I was middle aged but it was 20 I wanted, the youth and the free spirit.
I was retired but it was middle aged I wanted.
That presence of mind without limitations.
My life was over and I never got what I wanted. 

“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.” Philippians 4:12

We have doors open in our life and when walk through them sometimes we find obstacles that we weren’t expecting.  Opposition arises and either deters us or causes us to continue.  Nothing can hinder God’s work in our life if you believe and trust in Him.  Even when we find our self somewhere we never thought we would be.  If we are praying for HIS will not ours we will always open the right doors and if we open the wrong one, he will redirect our path. 

 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purposePhilippians 2:12,13
