Has anyone noticed there is a hint of Fall in the air?  I don’t know about you but I can’t wait for those cool, crisp days of autumn.  That is the great thing about the seasons.  Some people love the winter.  Bundling up and wearing cozy sweaters, drinking hot chocolate in the middle of the day.  After a few snow days in a row, losing power and the constant muddy yard from the snow melting, we welcome Spring.  I love how Spring is the same time as Easter!   I love how we start seeing everything come to life all around.  The grass starts getting green and the trees start to blossom.  We celebrate how Jesus was resurrected on the third day of his crucifixion and He is alive!  We also celebrate the new life that spring brings all around us.  It seems as if the transition from Spring to Summer happens so fast.  We usually associate when school is out, summer has arrived.  The summers here in Murphy, NC have been quite hot.  The summer activities are fun, but you better have some water nearby.  Now, we are starting to feel hints of fall.  I don’t know about you but I love fall!!  The beautiful palette of orange, yellow and red are displayed across the mountains.
Just as the season change in our weather they also change in life.  Sometimes life seems pretty uneventful and quiet.  Sometimes we can’t seem to catch our breath.  Sometimes we are overjoyed by new life in our families.  Sometimes we are devastated by a loss that seems so unbearable.  Whatever the case, seasons will change but God never will.

For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and time to dance.
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
