Anger is an emotion we all experience.  We could be angry at ourselves or someone else.  If we allow the minor frustrations of everyday life to overtake our emotions, we can harm not only yourself but a loved one.  If we start out our day and pray for protection of our heart, mind and our speech we are less likely to do or say something we would regret.  Words can cut deep, so guard yourself with the sword of the Spirit against anger.

When something robs you of your peace of mind, ask yourself if it is worth the energy you are expending on it.  If not, then put it out of your mind in act of discipline.  Every time the thought of “it” returns, refuse it.  ~  Kay Arthur

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
Neither give place to the devil.
Ephesians 4:26-27
