When Moses passed away, Joshua was put in charge to lead the Israelites to the promised land.  The Israelites were nervous and scared, but God told Joshua to be strong and of great courage.  God helped the Israelites cross the Jordan River, helped them take down the walls of Jericho and ultimately the power to conquer the promised land.

Can you think of a time of uncertainty in your life when you were put in a position of leadership or your leader changed.  Change can be hard but it conditions us out of our comfort zones.  Whatever change comes your way, embrace it with hope and be strong and of good courage.

“This is my command-be strong and courageous!  Do not be afraid or discouraged.  For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”  Joshua 1:9
