What is your faith in? Hebrews 11 is the faith chapter in the bible and is a great book to read to be reminded of what God has the power to do in our lives. The beginning of Hebrews is worded beautifully, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” It is the substance of what we hope for. What is that substance in your life? Sometimes we are really close to God, usually when we need Him the most. Other times when all is well we get too big for our britches and forget Him. “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.” Hebrews 11:32-34
