There is no one like God. Nothing can be compared to him. Men make promises and break them. The word of the Lord is true and trustworthy. If you don’t feel like you know alot about God, know this. God is our rock, strength and power, our hiding place, our fortress in whom we are safe, our high tower, our stronghold. When we are in distress, He is our deliverer. When the fiery darts of the enemy are pelting us, He is our shield. The Lord is our refuge.
What does all this mean? Do you feel like you can’t trust anyone? Trust God. Do you feel scared all the time? Trust God? Do you worry about things you have no control over? Trust God. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. His word is our lamp in the darkness.
11 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
