Do you believe in the power of the blood? Have you ever prayed the power of the blood over yourself or family, friends? There is power in the blood. Some examples in the bible would be the Passover. The plague of the firstborn to be killed, the Israelites were told if they put the lamb’s blood over the door the death angel would pass over their home and their child spared. In Joshua, Rahab hid the Israelite spies when they came to take over Jericho she lowered a scarlet cord from her window. They spared her and her family. The scarlet cord represents the blood of the Lamb.
We live in times of despair unless you believe in the power in the blood. We don’t have to live in fear. Christ overcame that on the cross. Below are the lyrics to hymn, There is power in the Blood! We can claim this everyday and live knowing that we are protected. Read over the lyrics and claim the power! I love this line, Sin stains are lost in its life giving flow.
Would you be free from the burden of sin?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood;
Would you o’er evil a victory win?
There’s wonderful power in the blood.
Refrain
There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.
Would you be free from your passion and pride?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood;
Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide;
There’s wonderful power in the blood.
Refrain
Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood;
Sin stains are lost in its life giving flow.
There’s wonderful power in the blood.
Refrain
Would you do service for Jesus your King?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood;
Would you live daily His praises to sing?
There’s wonderful power in the blood.
“On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD. The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.”
Exodus 12:12-13
