Looking back over the holidays and taking down all the decorations, I think about one of the things I struggle with is letting my kids beleive in Santa Claus.  I did when I was little and while I always was taught the true meaning of Christmas, I really loved thinking I was going to be rewarded at the end of the year for being such a good child.  As a parent I realize the great lengths you have to go to make kids beleive.  For example, the elfs you move every morning frm place to place, explaining why there are so many different Santa Clauses out and about that time of year and my most favorite is someone has to eat a few cookies to make it look like he has been there.  One day there hopes and dreams of Santa being real are crushed, probably by some other kid.  Then you have to explain why you lied to them all those years.  One thing I have been convicted of, am I going to great lengths make my children beleive in Christ and know that He is real and alive?
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
Romans 10:9-10
