Yesterday we did the WOD “Kelly”, 400 M run, 30 box jumps, 30 wall balls 5 rounds for time. Sounds pretty simple right? For many of the newer members that have no recollection of this WOD and seem eager to do it. For many it doesn’t take long to realize this is harder than it looks. We often hear the words, smooth and steady, just chip away. You can be in the middle of a WOD and feel like you are never going to finish. I think we feel this way in life as well. When things get hard, we just want to throw the towel in and give up. It would be so much easier. But when you get to the other side of a trial in your life and you see how much you learned and grew closer to the Lord. You didn’t give up and you are stronger for it! Our strength comes from Him and He is magnified in our weakness. Although, I have to admit on the last 400 of Kelly, I probably prayed that my legs wouldn’t give out. But, when you finish there is a sense of accomplishment. Don’t give up!
It is better to finish something that to start it. It is better to be patient than to be proud. Ecclesiastes 7:8
