Tuesday 1.21.13

No one can predict how your day is going to unfold.  We wake up every morning and wonder what will today be like.  Today could literally be your last day on earth.  Today you could get a job promotion.  Today could be the same as everyday.  We never know what to expect. If you have ever watched the CrossFit games, the atheletes don’t know what the WODs are until they get there.  I like how CrossFit doesn’t specialize.  It makes you a more well rounded athelete and prepares you for the unexpected.

How do you prepare for the unexpected in life?  No one day what the day will bring when it starts out.  That is why God tells us to prepare our hearts and minds.  Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.  Romans 12:2

This renewal doesn’t just take place once in a blue moon.  It is an every day occurence of actively seeking God’s direction and trusting him in our life.  I love this term that describes God’s nature, Omniscience.  Which means actually knowing everything that can be known.  He knows our very thoughts, our feelings, our desires and our needs.  Prepare for the unexpected by trusting in the only one who knows what to expect.  To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his.  Job 12:13

For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
1 Corinthians 1:25
