One thing about CrossFit that has helped me is to be mentally tough.  Your body benefits from CrossFit but so does your mind.  You have to mentally think no matter how tough this workout is going to be, I am going to finish.  Just when you think you can’t run anymore, you can’t do another pull-up, another burpee, you make yourself complete the task.  This determination carries over in other aspects of our life.

We did a WOD in honor of September 11, and it was one of the hardest ones we have ever done.  The whole time I thought about the  firefighters, police men/women, military.  They have to be mentally tough every day to do their jobs. When you watch the firefighters that didn’t think twice about running into the World Trade Center to save people, to do their job.  I admire them and their perseverance and forever grateful to the jobs they do everyday.  God gives us the ability to be mentally tough through His word.  He tells us to fear nothing but Him.  He has fought the battle for us. Put on the full armour of God and do your job everyday.

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
Martin Luther King, Jr.

It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great. You broaden the path beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn.
Psalm 18:32-36
