Thursday 3.17.11

 Does your walk with God consist of squeezing a prayer in here and there when you need something?  Are you able to spend the time in the morning before you start your day?  It seems like we roll out of the bed and hit the ground running until nightfall.  We should never be in a hurry when comes to spending time with our Father.  As parents we enjoy time with our children.  When you can sit and talk to them, find out how their day was.  Why should it be any different with our time with God.  He desires that same intimacy with His children.

Here is a quote from C.S. Lewis~
The moment you wake up each morning, all your wishes and hopes for the day rush
at you like wild animals.  And the first job each morning consists in shoving it all back;
in listening to that other voice, taking that other point of view, letting that other
larger, stronger, quieter life coming flowing in.

   He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
   I will be exalted among the nations,
   I will be exalted in the earth
.
   Psalm 46:10
