Have you ever done something so bad that you just knew you would never be forgiven for? You might have been so full of shame and scared of what the other person’s reaction would be, you would think of any reasson not to tell them. Often Satan moves on us when we are desperate. He knows when opportunity strikes. Just remember that there is nothing you can’t take to the cross. Your Heavenly Father loves you more than you will ever know.
if you are familiar with the parable in Luke about the prodigal son, it is a beautiful depiction of Christ’s love for his children. The parable tells how the son goes off and spends his inheritance that he asked from his father. He lived it up at first but things don’t always stay the same. He eventually hit bottom. He hesitated to go back home for fear of what his Father would say.
The father looked for his son every day to come back home. One day he was looking and saw someone walking down the road towards him. The Father was so excited to see his son, he ran an threw his arms around him. Just remember this story if you ever feel like the prodigal, and know your Heavenly Father is awaiting to embrace the child he loves so much.
“So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.” Luke 15:20
