Sunday 7.22.12

”People who never look at the past in thanksgiving will never look at the future with appreciation.”  This is a quote that I read somewhere but a conversation I had the other day made me think of it again.  We can never move ahead in our future bounded by our past.  God tells us in his word if we confess our sins and truly repent from them that he forgives us.  Why do we have such a hard time forgiving ourselves?  We should be thankful when we see God’s mercy and grace and how he delivers us from our mistakes.  Don’t let Satan steal your joy in being redeemed by a Saviour who loves you so much.

Yet you, LORD, are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand.
Isaiah 64:8
