What is the difference in wisdom and knowledge?
Wisdom- | The quality of being wise; knowledge, and the capacity to make due use of it; knowledge of the best ends and the best means; discernment and judgment; discretion; sagacity; skill; dexterity. |
Knowledge- | The act or state of knowing; clear perception of fact, truth, or duty; certain apprehension; familiar cognizance; cognition. |
Knowledge is acquired by reading and knowing the truth about something. Wisdom is being wise and true wisdom comes from the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives us discernment and judgement, and is an important building block in life. You can know a lot, but to be wise is to have have the right heart and mind.
By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treaseures.
Proverbs 24:3-4
