Do you ever think about how sin entered the world? Adam and Eve were not content with what the Lord had gave them. They had more than enough and it wasn’t enough. The temptation of sin was so great that it overruled the knowledge of what God had told them. The life of sin appears attractive, exciting and everything you could desire. But, that is usually short lived. You are left feeling empty and depressed that the sin didn’t deliver what it promised. True joy and fulfillment comes from living in and by the Word.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Psalm 1:1-3
