Looking back in your past, do you see God’s mercy and grace.  Do think I can’t believe I’m still alive!  All the stupid mistakes made.  Are you thankful for lessons learned. Do you beleive that God forgives you from your sins?  Why do we keep beating our self up over our mistakes?  God says he cast them as far as the east is from the west?

 “People who never look at the past in thanksgiving will never look at the future with appreciation.”

I don’t know who wrote this but I love it.  I am thankful the potter didn’t throw me away when I was a miry mess.  I took a ceramics class in college and we got to make pottery.  I made alot of pottery that only my momma would love.  It is extremely hard and takes alot of patience. When you get a clump of clay you have to add water to make it more pliable and start pulling on it making the vessel you want.  We are vessels made by God for a purpose.  It is like the verse in the hymn, Have thine own way Lord, “Mold me and make after thy will, while I am waiting yielded and still. ”

  Yet you, LORD, are our Father.
  We are the clay, you are the potter;
  we are all the work of your hand.
Isaiah 64:8
