Our speech reveals what is in our heart. Do our words tear people down or build them up? Is our glass half-empty or half-full? Do we tend to see the negative in everything or have the potential to dig the slightest postiveness out of situations? I love this verse, “Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.”(Proverbs 16:24) Are your words sweet or sour?
From the fruit of their mouth a person’s stomach is filled;
with the harvest of their lips they are satisfied.
The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:20-21
