Tomorrow will be the last day in 2013. As you look back over the year do you think about what you would do differently? Sometimes entering a New Year is an exciting feeling of a clean slate. We set new goals or sometimes they tend to be the same from year to year. Optimistically hoping to change the things that hinder you from being at your best potential. A New Years resolution on a personal note is to strive to put God first each and every day. We tend to let work, family, financial strains and schedules take precedence and if there is anything left over we give God a few minutes of thanks. When we focus on what are we doing and how is it benefiting our relationship with the Lord? Are we being the person He designed us to be? Instead of focusing on the little things, focus on Him. The creator of heaven and earth. Your creator who knew you before you were born.
This devotional is posted to our website to share the word of God to those who choose to read it. Most important time spent during the day is reading the Bible and praying. Not for selfish desires of wanting things answered on our behalf but to actively seek a relationship and grow in His word. Knowing how to be discerning in the choices we make and how our choices affect those around us. The battle is raging all around us. Satan is attacking our homes, families and our churches. How we withstand the fire in 2014? Will we face it with the shield of faith and the sword of the spirit? Arm yourself everyday. If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
