Friday 6.3.11

Do you have a hard time detecting God’s mercy and grace?  If we take the time to not focus on ourselves and envelope our life in the word of God and his promise for us, our eyes will be open to his merciful hand. One of the greatest examples of this is Joseph in the Bible.  He was sold into slavery by his own brothers.  Spent thirteen years of injustice until entered Pharaoh’s service.  Instead of being bitter toward his brothers he saw this was part of God’s plan to save his family.  If Joseph had not been there to interpret the dreams the Pharaoh had they would have never survived the famine.  There is always a bigger picture.

“Failure to look up to God, whether your circumstances are good or bad, can mean the difference between victory and defeat.” ~Eims

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1 Corinthians 2:12
