I saw the movie Evan Almighty last night on t.v.  and this certain part in the movie makes you think.  If you are a Christian you believe in God.  Where your relationship with him is dependant on you.  How much time do you spend with the Lord and reading His word?  When we pray do unload all thoughts and feelings and lay it the cross totally?  Is there a right or wrong way to pray?  I love the part in the movie where the wife is in the restaurant and Morgan Freeman who plays God in the movie asks her this.
“If someone prays for patience, does God make them patient or give them the opportunity to be patient?  Or, when someone prays to be brave, does God give them courage or the opportunity to be courageous?”  What do we expect when we pray?  We ask God to do a work in our life or someone we love and he does but it might be what we had in mind.  God’s ways are better than ours.  Remain in him and he will never leave you.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you. – John 15:7
