We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.~Jim Rohn
This poem titled “Footprints in the Sand”, is one of the most encouraging poems ever written. If you are going through a trial or know someone that it is, share this with them. God will never leave you. Sometimes we feel all alone admist the storm. But, know that you are not and that God is always there for you.
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you. ~ Mary Stevenson, 1936
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content
with what you have, because God has said,
“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you
Does hope ever run out? Do you feel like some days you are on short supply? What causes us to give up on our goals, rather big or small? When we pray about our decisions and constantly place our hope in God, we will succeed. We are transformed by the renewing of our mind through Christ. Don’t look back in the past and strive forward. God is never in short supply of hope. He is like a well of water that never goes dry, we just fail to go to him when we are thirsty.
But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more. Psalms 71:14

Give thanks for what you are now, and keep fighting for what you want to be tomorrow. ~Fernanda Miramontes-Landeros
We are made in the image of the giver of life. Does that mean anything to you? It should when our Creator made you for a reason. You were made to make a difference. Some people live their life trying to help others, when others live their life wondering why no one helps them. It is truly amazing how God created each of different yet in His likeness. We all have different fingerprints, freckles, hair and teeth. We all have strengths and weaknessess. I love thinking how God knitted us in the womb. We all have a potential to make a difference in this world.
So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
Discipline is something that is a struggle for many. We are all trying to improve some area of our life. What is the first step to get to your goal? We have to turn it over to the Lord. As many of us here our exercising discipline in our eating and exercising, what are other areas that require a balance? It can be work, financial or relationships. Discipline and prayer will help us overcome these obstacles. Watch your life have direction and a plan. We are not meant to live haphazardly. Which we all feel like we do when we get overwhelmed with all the things in our life. We are meant to have an aim for what we want to achieve.
Success and happiness are not destinations. They are exciting, never-ending journeys. ~Zig Ziglar
